Architectural Salvage celebrates the artistry and heritage of antique doors, arches, windows, and carved stonework from India and China. Each reclaimed piece — whether teak, rosewood, or sandstone — tells a story of craftsmanship and place, restored with care for modern interiors and garden projects.
Indian Doors, Windows & Panels
Our reclaimed Indian doors and window shutters originate from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and South India, salvaged from old havelis and temples. Many retain their original paintwork in ochre, green, and crimson, with traditional iron fittings and hand-carved floral or geometric detail. From stone jali windows to painted door panels, these pieces bring warmth and history as architectural décor or sculptural wall art.
Doors, Arches & Carved Stone
Among the collection are teak arches from Gujarat, carved doors from Jaisalmer, and stone jharokha windows from Rajasthan — their pierced lattice designs filtering light with quiet grace. These antique architectural elements may be mounted decoratively or reused as functional features within restoration and design projects, adding character to both interior and exterior spaces.
Chinese Doors & Screens
Complementing the Indian works are Chinese elm and pine doors from Shanxi Province, their restrained joinery and worn patina contrasting the vibrancy of Indian carving. These antique Chinese panels — often bleached, minimal, and elegantly weathered — embody a quiet wabi-sabi beauty.
Pillars, Panels & Tribal Artefacts
The collection extends to painted teak pillars with stone bases from Gujarat, tribal doors and totems from Nagaland, and Kerala shutters with their distinctive southern Indian carving. Smaller architectural details — such as Ganesh lintels and carved corbels — bring depth and authenticity to rustic interiors and architectural restoration projects alike.
Sourcing & Story
Every item is personally sourced by Indigo in Asia, chosen for its quality, provenance, and enduring aesthetic value. These are not reproductions, but authentic reclaimed architectural antiques — hand-carved, hand-joined, and rich with the patina of centuries.
