This colonial Indian book cabinet dates to the 19th century, the time of the British Raj. It likely is from Gujarat in North India and is constructed from teak wood. Cabinets like these were often used in government offices.

The cabinet has double doors opening to reveal three teak wood shelves. It has been sympathetically restored in our workshops and has retained its original brass hardware.
