Inspired by the traditional Indian takhat (daybed), this beautifully crafted square coffee table has been made from reclaimed teak wood salvaged from old buildings in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The proportions have been thoughtfully adapted from the original full-sized takhat, creating a compact design that is ideal for smaller living spaces while retaining the character and timeless appeal of the traditional form.
The thick solid teak top showcases the rich grain and natural markings of the reclaimed timber, while the apron is hand carved with an elegant repeating floral motif. Turned legs complete the classic design, making this a versatile coffee table that works equally well in rustic, contemporary and country-style interiors. As well as being exceptionally durable, each table gives new life to reclaimed timber, making it an environmentally friendly choice.
