Visiting Us
Our showroom and warehouse is at Dairy Barn, Manningford Bruce, on the A345 between Pewsey and Upavon in Wiltshire, about 70 miles from London. If you use a satnav, search for "Indigo Antiques" rather than the postcode. Directions are on our showroom page.

We are closed on Sundays and bank holidays.
Opening hours over Christmas vary, so please check our Contact page before visiting in late December.

Most of our showroom and warehouse is wheelchair accessible, through our warehouse entrance about 20 metres from the main entrance. As it is a working warehouse, please call us on 01672 564722 before your visit so we can make sure the aisles are clear and wide enough.

Not always. New stock arrives regularly from Asia and some pieces reach the showroom before they are listed online.
Every piece is checked by the workshop, researched and photographed so many pieces never make it onto our website.
If you are looking for something specific, please contact us.
Our Antiques
Yes. We personally source every piece in India, China and from the UK art market, and our three full-time restorers check, conserve and finish every piece in our own Wiltshire workshops before it reaches you. Each piece is selected by our buyers for its authenticity and beauty. We know each piece thoroughly and stand behind the authenticity of every antique we sell.
We also sell modern pieces which are hand made and hand painted. They are clearly labelled 'Modern' on our website.
Most of our antiques date from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Each listing gives our honest assessment of a piece's age, and where we are uncertain, we say so.
We also sell reclaimed and newly made pieces, which are clearly labelled as 'Modern'. These pieces are handmade in the traditional way keeping traditional skills in India and China alive.
Our collection spans India, China, Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia, Japan, Korea and Burma, alongside tribal pieces.
We travel to India and China each year to buy at source, and also buy from UK auctions and private collections.
Every piece is checked in our workshops, and conserved and restored where needed. Our ethos is simple: every piece we sell must meet the standard we would expect in one of our own directors' homes. If it is not good enough for them, it is not good enough for you.
Our antiques show the wear, patina and occasional repairs you would expect from their age, and we see this as part of their character. Every listing describes condition, and we are happy to send extra photographs or measurements on request.
We prefer to buy only pieces with their original paint. Where needed, we consolidate and clean the paint to preserve it. We avoid retouching unless there is good reason, and when we do, our in-house fine art restorers use traditional pigments and techniques true to the piece's origin.
Yes. We can provide a product information document describing a piece on request, which is especially useful for higher-value purchases.
Yes. Most of our pieces are one of a kind and sold as you see them, but we have taken on commissions for clients, including large projects. Get in touch to discuss what you have in mind.
Yes. If we do not have what you are looking for, we can search for it on our next buying trip or add you to our wish list. See our Sourcing page.
Restoration & Valuations
Yes. Our restorers work in our own workshops alongside the showroom, favouring sensitive conservation over making pieces look new. Restoration for private clients is charged at £66 per hour including VAT. Send photographs and a description through our Restoration page and we will let you know if we can help.
We regret that this service is for UK customers only as international transport is too expensive.
Yes. We are happy to give an informal opinion on Asian antiques and point you towards the right place to sell.
If a piece has value, we may make you an offer or suggest a suitable auction. As prices depend on demand and on where and how you sell, whether at auction, privately or through a dealer, we do not give estimates. We recommend asking your chosen auction house or seller for one.
Send photographs, dimensions and anything you know about the piece through our Restoration page.
Occasionally. We are very selective and only buy pieces that suit our collection. Email photographs, dimensions and anything you know about the piece's history to enquiries@indigo-uk.com or send us photos on Whatsapp.
Buying
You can buy online, by phone on 01672 564722, by email at enquiries@indigo-uk.com, through WhatsApp, or in person at our showroom.
Online, we accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and Klarna, so you can spread the cost. In our showroom we accept card and cash. For larger purchases we prefer bank transfer, though all our usual payment methods are welcome.
Yes. Retail customers can reserve a piece for up to one week, with no deposit needed. If you need longer, for example while arranging funds, get in touch and we will do our best to help.
We can usually hold a purchased piece for up to two weeks. We understand that building work and moves take time, so if you need longer, get in touch and we will help where we can.
We price every piece fairly from the start. Some dealers mark prices up so they can offer discounts later; we do not, because we believe in clear, honest pricing.
Every piece is personally sourced in India, China and from the UK art market, then checked, conserved and finished by our two full-time restorers in Wiltshire, rather than relying on checks and repairs abroad.
