This painted Indian umbrella & stick stand was made in India in the last 15 years. It features birds perched atop the Tree of Life on a dark green background, a theme often found on old doors in Bikaner, Northern Rajasthan.

This style of painting is inspired by earlier classical Rajasthani painting and is often misidentified by inexperienced dealers & auction houses as antique. The workmanship is excellent and all hand painted.
