It doubles as a decorative waste paper bin and is hand painted in traditional Rajasthani designs of the classic vermillion red inspired by designs on Jain book boxes. They're made in the traditional way that grain measures have been made for centuries in India. Grain measures were used in markets in India for measuring wheat, corn, rice, and pulses. This flashy desk tidy also doubles as a plant pot.
