A carved teak corbel (architectural beam support) salvaged from an old building in Maharashtra. Dating from the 19th century and painted with natural mineral pigments in pastel colours.
This corbel depicts a stylised parrot with neck emerging from finely carved teak wood. We have mounted this piece on a base to create a truly unique decorative ornament.
