This fabulous Indian teak wood chest has a great patina, and has been sympathetically restored in our Wiltshire workshop. It has original hand forged iron corners and strong handles. Perfect for storage and for use as a coffee table. This chest dates to the middle of the 18^th century & comes from Gujarat.

Chests from India are found in an extraordinary variety of styles reflecting the many cultures that influenced India. They were used for storing valuables such as textiles, jewellery, and cash.
