This antique iron bound Anglo-Indian military chest dates to the 19th century and could be used as a bijou coffee table or toy box. Iron bound chests like these are from Gujarat and would have been used for storing personal belongings.

It is constructed from beautifully patinated teak and has its original iron fittings and handles. The interior consists of one large space and a fitted candle box.
