This remarkable 19th century Indian archway from Punjab, Northern India, is hand-carved from dense rosewood in the Mughal style. The finely detailed floral and geometric patterns, combined with the elegant cusped arch, evoke the architectural splendour of Indo-Islamic craftsmanship. A pierced jali panel crowns the top, enhancing both light and shadow play when placed in situ. Weathered and bleached, the finish highlights the depth of carving while softening the tone for a more neutral interior or garden scheme.
This substantial architectural piece cannot be disassembled, so please ensure access routes are suitable for delivery. Thanks to its solid rosewood construction, it is also suitable for outdoor installation€”perfect for framing garden paths or creating a dramatic entranceway.
