This sunbleached roheda wood Indian shutter is from the Bikaner region of Rajasthan. Dating from the 19^th century, this piece would once have been brightly painted as was the style in Bikaner. However, it has been bleached a pleasing pale yellow by years of Thar desert sun. This would look beautiful hung on a wall.
