This is a special piece and a favourite of the Indigo owners. A rare and beautifully preserved architectural fragment, this 18th-century teak window shutter hails from the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Hand-carved from solid teak, it features intricate jharokha-style brass latticework with clear Mughal influences, including scalloped arches and delicate geometric motifs.
Its weathered, earthy tones and timeworn patina offer a warm, organic texture, ideal for adding antique character to any interior. Whether used as a decorative wall piece or as part of a larger design feature, this shutter is a striking conversation starter.
