This antique Indian stained glass window is from Dungarpur in Southern Rajasthan. It bears similarity to the windows from the City Palace (Raj Mahal) in Udaipur and the Juna Mahal of Dungarpur. See images below of the Aam Khas audience hall of the Juna Mahal in Dungarpur (built in the 18th century and stained glass added in the 19th century.)

Originally, small shutters would have been fitted to the iron rings around the mihrab arch opening. The green grey soapstone is a clear indicator this piece hails from the Dungarpur area.

The glass has some historic damage (pictured) but this adds to its history. The stained glass is beautifully illuminated when lit from the rear.

Wall hangers can be added free of charge on request.
