This intricately carved architectural doorway from Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, dates to the 19th century and reflects strong Mughal artistic influence. Handcrafted from dense, aged teak, the twin doors are deeply set within a robust frame, their surfaces adorned with geometric squares and fine metalwork. A frieze of carved floral motifs runs the full border, and a rare figurative panel depicting three figures crowns the lintel.

Traditional parrot-shaped brass door handles and a heart-shaped piercing in one of the door leaves add charm and authenticity. Originally opening inward, the frame has been sensitively adapted to support contemporary hanging requirements while preserving its historical character. Though weighty, the piece can be installed as a statement architectural feature with full support from Indigo Antiques' experienced team.
