Large Brass Bound Teak Campaign Chest - 19th Century

This impressive 19th century Anglo-Indian campaign chest is crafted from richly patinated teak and retains its original brass fittings, beautifully illustrating the robust elegance associated with military travel furniture of the period. The clean architectural form is enhanced by brass corner straps, carrying handles and original locking clasps, all designed to strengthen the chest during long journeys while adding refined decorative detail.
