Hand-carved from the distinctive yellow sandstone of Jaisalmer, this 19th-century three-way lamp niche once flanked a doorway in the desert city’s golden havelis. Designed to hold small oil lamps or candles, such niches illuminated entrances at dusk, casting a warm glow across intricately carved façades. This example features three slender arched openings divided by delicately carved columns, crowned with foliate detailing and framed by a geometric border — a beautiful interplay of architectural rhythm and decorative craftsmanship.

Unlike many that retain the natural golden tone of Jaisalmer stone, this niche has been finished in a soft blue paint, now gently weathered to reveal warm undertones beneath. The aged surface and textured patina enhance its sculptural presence. Striking with tea lights and equally decorative unlit, it can be displayed indoors or outdoors as an architectural wall feature.

Each panel is supplied with strong wall hangers and accompanying wall plates. For advice on installation, our expert team will be happy to assist.
