This Indian blanket chest is made from reclaimed teak wood panels from old almirah cabinets. The top is made from stainable mango wood. Although this blanket chest is not an antique, it is sustainable and makes a beautiful addition to any room.

Sunburst panels are found in Gujarati furniture and this style of furniture was heavily influenced by the Portuguese. These blanket chests are perfectly suited to a bedroom or large bathroom for storing blankets, bedding, or towels. One of our favorite features of this piece is the back which has contrasting coloured panels (visible in the photos).

Our reclaimed teak wood is salvaged from old buildings in Rajasthan and Gujarat. It is decorative, extremely durable, and environmentally friendly.
