These old grain measures have been upcycled and embellished with ornate brass. Made from jackfruit wood and from South India, grain measures like these were used in markets for measuring wheat, corn, rice, and pulses. In the old days, the Indian measures were Seers & Pattis.

These make fabulous planters or waste paper bins.
