This Indian brass water pot (matka) is hand beaten and was originally used for storage of drinking water with a cover of wood or metal. It dates to the 19th century and is from Kerala in South India.
A beautifully decorative item, water pots make great vases or decorative items inside and in the garden. The patina shows the age and life of the pot.
