Stone "Yukimi" Japanese Snow Lantern

These Japanese style snow lanterns called toro are carved in stone by hand. Yukimi lanterns gain their name from the seasonal activity of watching snow falling in Japan. Their beauty comes from the simplicity of form with simple elegant circular lids protecting the fire compartment underneath. A central hole exists for wiring lights. 

These large lanterns are suitable for both indoor & outdoor use. They're guaranteed frost hardy and made in Northern China where winter temperatures can drop to -20 celsius.

Comes in multiple parts for easy shipping. Simple to assemble. Pieces can be left to sit freely but we can recommend certain builders' mortar in busier areas of your home.
