This large bronze Buddha has a serene gaze with painted eyes and lips. Buddha is seated in dhyana mudra, his hands resting on his lap, his right hand resting on the palm of the left. Buddha posed in dhyana mudra during his final meditation beneath the Bodhi tree before achieving enlightenment. He sits here on his lotus throne, which raises Buddha above the contamination of day to day existence like a lotus flower rising above the water it grows from.

This is an excellent museum quality reproduction piece cast in bronze in the Tibetan style using traditional techniques with a gilded finish.
