This seated Chinese bronze Buddha is an excellent museum quality reproduction of a traditional Chinese Buddha in the pose of Bhumisparsha Mudra.
Bhumisparsha mudra is always from a seated position with the right hand resting on the knee, fingers pointing to the ground. Bhumisparsha means "Touching the earth" and symbolises Buddha's enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree.

The removable backrest is beautifully engraved.
