This traditional Chinese elm milking stool is constructed with a thick piece of solid red elm (jumu) using traditional carpentry. 


These sturdy wooden stools are a vital component of any shabby chic interior and originally would have been used by farm workers. Versatile, they can be used as a side table or as an extra stool for guests at a dinner table.
