This traditional Chinese stool from Henan province is a beautifully aged example of rural craftsmanship. Constructed using traditional joinery techniques, the seat is carved from a thick, solid slab of yumu elm, bleached over time to reveal a weathered, textural finish. Its simple, rustic design is grounded in practicality€”once used by farm workers in northern China, it now offers enduring character to any interior.

Ideal for use as a side table, extra stool, or display stand, this piece brings a touch of antique charm to contemporary Wabi Sabi or minimalist spaces. Each stool is unique, showcasing subtle variations in the grain and patina of the wood.
