This charming Indian coat hook panel is still as sturdy as the day it was made over one hundred years ago. The hand wrought iron hooks are stylised peacock heads which were made by local itinerant blacksmiths. This teak panel was most likely part of a grand building in Gujarat, the acanthus leaves are skillfully carved, and the distressed paint shows the age and retains the true character of what was made as a decorative utility fixture.
