Carved Sun Bleached Window Shutters From Punjab - 18th Century

These exquisite Indian shutters came from an old sunbleached window frame from Punjab in Northern India. In order for rosewood to bleach like this, it takes considerable time, making this window 18th century or earlier. It has been ornately carved in the traditional Mughal style and has aged beautifully.

They are bound with iron and a stylised lotus star design can be seen across the shutters. 

Supplied with sturdy hangers on the back. Although this mirror is heavy, our trained experts can advise you on how to hang on even plasterboard walls.
