Painted Tibetan Reliquary - 19thC

Certainly a rare piece to find these days, this Tibetan Reliquary was used for housing precious statues or relics.
The decoration is traditional using both floral and tantric designs, it’s a very striking piece, ideal for a collector of Buddhas or Tibetan artefacts .
It has become extremely difficult to find original pieces these days and because of this many reproduction pieces are appearing on the market.
Tibetan furniture is mostly constructed from cedar or pine.
