Porcelain Stool - Blue Abstract

These striking contemporary Chinese porcelain stools offer a bold, artistic interpretation of traditional blue and white Chinese ceramics. Combining centuries-old porcelain-making techniques with expressive modern decoration.

Handcrafted in Jingdezhen, China's historic porcelain capital, the stools have a beautifully rounded, sculptural form with a gently domed seat. Their glossy white surface is decorated with sweeping, free-flowing brushstrokes in varying shades of cobalt blue, from soft, translucent washes to rich, deep indigo. Broad, swirling ribbons of colour wrap around the curved body and continue across the top, creating an almost calligraphic design reminiscent of spontaneous Chinese ink painting.

The visible variations in brushwork celebrate the spontaneity of hand-painted porcelain, ensuring that each stool has its own individual character.

Both decorative and practical, this substantial porcelain stool can be used as occasional seating, a side table or a sculptural accent in a living room, conservatory or garden room. It also pairs beautifully with our matching Porcelain Round Bistro Table – Blue Abstract, available separately HERE.
