This majestic Indo-Dutch jackfruit wood & brass chest on stand hails from colonial Southern India and dates from the middle of the 18th century. With a high quality jackfruit wood construction and ebony beading it has a fantastic patina. It is an exceptional example of Indo-Dutch furniture and was probably owned by a wealthy trader.

Top opening with two drawers and dramatic original brass hardware this chest is a piece of history.
