These beautifully patinated stone pots would be great for serving dhal or curry or for planting up cacti, succulents, or herbs on your window sill.

They were used in India for day-to-day cooking in a process known as 'dum cooking' where the pot is sealed and food cooked over a long period of time resulting in a strong infusion of flavors without the loss of liquid.
