A charming vintage Indian brass food storage caddy from Northern India, traditionally used for storing rice, flour, biscuits, and other kitchen staples. Crafted from brass with a warm, aged patina, this cylindrical container features a hinged lid secured with an attractive decorative clasp and floral motif handle. Practical and decorative in equal measure, these traditional caddies bring character and authenticity to both period and contemporary kitchens.
In Indian households, polished brassware was once a source of great pride, with food storage vessels carefully maintained and displayed. Grouped together in varying sizes, these caddies create a striking visual display while remaining perfectly functional for modern storage needs. The naturally aged surface, gentle wear, and small dents acquired through decades of use add to its unique charm and history.
