This style of pot was used for tobacco and opium and is a real collector's piece. These pots were well cared for and in constant use. This piece dates to the 19th century and has been beautifully constructed using teakwood which has developed a great patina with age.
The stopper has been replaced some time in its life. These pots are becoming increasingly hard to find.
