Description

Beautifully understated, these contemporary handwoven cotton rugs combine traditional Indian craftsmanship with a striking geometric design. Woven by skilled artisans in Jaipur, Rajasthan, they feature an intricate arrangement of interlocking rectangular panels in soft charcoal-grey and natural ivory. Alternating blocks of colour and fine woven stripes create a subtle patchwork effect, giving the rug a wonderfully textured appearance. The combination of clean geometric lines and muted tones makes this an eye-catching yet versatile addition to both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Each rug is created using the traditional Punja loom weaving technique, a manual flat-weaving method practised in India for generations. This time-honoured process produces a wonderfully tactile fabric, with subtle variations in yarn thickness and stripe spacing that give every rug its own individual character. These gentle irregularities are a hallmark of authentic handloom craftsmanship rather than imperfections.

Woven from 95% cotton, the rugs are beautifully soft underfoot, while their neutral colour palette makes them exceptionally versatile. The smaller size is ideal beside a bed or in a bathroom, while the medium and large sizes work wonderfully in hallways, bedrooms and living spaces. Their pale tones are particularly effective at brightening darker interiors and complementing natural wood, stone and tiled floors.

Each rug is finished with a plain cotton backing, creating a practical addition to both contemporary and traditional interiors.
