Like many things in India, these sweet molds were made for a practical purpose. Beautifully carved from teak by Maharathi craftsmen in the early 20th century, the Dahi Wada were used in the old days during festival times as sweet molds.

A perfect gift for a collector of village art, each one is unique. They look wonderful displayed in a group on a wall or table.
