This wonderfully carved Indian house shrine would have been set into a wall and used to house the family's favorite deity in a Hindu household. It dates to the later part of the 19th century, circa 1870. The shrine is framed by a classic architectural motif, the Mughal mihrab arch. The mirrored glass at the back shows all the markings you would expect from a mirror of this age.

Wall fixtures can be supplied on request. Please let us know at the time of ordering.
