This table lamp is made from an old charpoy leg from Bikaner in Rajastan and is beautifully painted with flowers. A truly unique example of museum-quality carving and paintwork 

Charpoys were used as beds or daybeds. They often had lacquered or carved legs with a roheda wood frame. The bed part was usually strung cotton or jute.
