Converted from an old water pot, this totally unique lamp would make a fine addition to any room.Historically the most important piece of equipment for each household throughout Asia and many other countries are the family’s water pots. In India they are known as, “matki”.They have been used for many generations to collect water from the rivers or village wells. These pots are most iconically known for being balanced very elegantly on the heads of mostly women, or sometimes children. It’s one of their daily chores, collecting the water and chattering along the way with friends and neighbors.Made from riveted iron from the Punjab, our beautiful painted pots have been upcycled and decorated in traditional Rajasthani designs.
