This handsome Anglo-Indian teak bench dates from the 19th century and is made in the Regency style, with elegant turned front legs, gently scrolling arms, and a beautifully simple slatted back and seat. Crafted during the days of the Raj, it has the balanced proportions and restrained ornament associated with Regency taste, while the rich teak timber gives it the durability and warmth so prized in Indian furniture of the period. Its deep patina and clean architectural lines make it a versatile piece, equally suited to a hallway, conservatory, covered terrace, or living space.
Made from solid teak, this bench was designed to be both practical and enduring, suitable for use inside the home as well as in sheltered outdoor settings. The combination of robust construction and refined detailing gives it a timeless character that works well in both classic and more relaxed interiors.
