Green 6 Door Sideboard Made From Reclaimed Wood

Crafted from reclaimed wood and finished with a timeworn green paint finish, this long rustic Mongolian style sideboard is a striking example of furniture made in the traditional way.

Made using old elm, poplar, and cypress woods, each piece celebrates the natural aging of its materials with a beautifully distressed finish that reveals layers of use and history. These cabinets were used by nomadic people for storage of clothes and bedding as grain stores. They were also used as altar cabinets for family ancestor worship. The front doors have been modified from the original closed front to make it more functional. Instead, it would have originally opened from the top by a hatch. The spacious interior compartments are separated by a shelf.
