This small Anglo-Indian teak shelf dates from the 1930s, during the days of the Raj. Compact yet sturdy, it has clearly led a varied life, with layers of old paintwork still visible in blues, greens, and browns that add depth and character to its surface.
Despite being nearly a century old, the shelf remains strong and reliable, a testament to the durability of teak. Its simple open-slat design makes it both practical and versatile, perfect for storing books, displaying decorative objects, or keeping essentials close at hand. With its patinated finish and compact proportions, it fits seamlessly into a wide variety of interior styles.
