This narrow antique door and frame from Gujarat, western India, dates to the 19th century and features beautifully weathered paintwork in soft green and faded terracotta tones. Originally fitted in a traditional Gujarati haveli or courtyard home, the door€™s proportions and decorative mouldings suggest it once served as an interior passage or modest entryway.

Crafted from solid teak and finished with layered paint, the door retains its original iron latch and padlock chain, lending both authenticity and charm. The panelled design and subtly carved frame reflect a colonial-era influence filtered through local craftsmanship. Its tall, slim profile makes it a striking architectural feature, whether repurposed as a functioning doorway, wardrobe front, or decorative wall panel.
