This unusual painted wall temple is from the desert town of Bikaner in Northern Rajasthan. Bikaner is famed for its painted furniture and buildings. Furniture from Bikaner is prized amongst collectors and is often painted with reds and greens adorned with figures or floral patterns.

Consistent with the age of this piece, one of the side mihrab arches has been replaced with old wood sometime in its lifetime. A beveled mirror has been added making this a truly unique addition to any room.
