A soulful relic of Mongolian craftsmanship, this 19th-century altar table is richly patinated with age and character. Its long, low form - originally designed for Buddhist ritual use - features three front drawers hand-painted with elegant floral and peony motifs, symbolic of peace and prosperity in Tibetan-Buddhist art.

The original paintwork, though beautifully worn, still retains traces of deep red, olive green, and golden ochre tones, giving the piece an earthy, time-softened presence. The table's rustic pine wood frame is solid and functional, with square legs and a straightforward stretcher construction, exuding both authenticity and humility.

This altar table makes a striking console or sideboard, blending seamlessly into wabi-sabi, bohemian, or eclectic interiors. A genuine piece of Mongolian heritage with immense decorative appeal.
