Looking for a dramatic entrance to your room or as a statement piece in your home, a retail space, or a film set? These antique painted doors and frame from India hark from Gujarat have been reclaimed from an old haveli. Doors like this are saved from buildings in India that have fallen into a state of disrepair and are no longer in a repairable state.

The chip carving and top lintel are classic of the style of Gujarat and the door is fitted with brass handles and a lock. These doors would have originally been used as the front door of a merchant's home. The style of this piece has European influences from the traders visiting the area at the time and the carving depicts Indian peacocks with Grecian vases and fruit.

Although this is a heavy piece, Indigo Antiques have a trained delivery team to bring it into your home, and we can provide assembly advice to your builders.
