The massive toran is traditionally hung around a room or over a tent to welcome guests into the home. Hung over doorways and on walls, this toran is around 30 to 45 years old and in extremely excellent condition. They were mainly brought out for special occasions like weddings or religious festivals. Hand made and hand stitched, each toran is superb and such quality pieces are rare to find these days. The elephants and mandala symbols are sought after and very popular in western markets.
