Like many things in India, seed drills were made for a practical purpose - beautifully carved by craftsmen in the 19thC who often embellished their tools with carved images of Nandi bulls and other favoured deities. Now they are no longer needed for farming an iron candle spike has been added to make a perfect candle stand.
