This striking mirror has been crafted from an original 19th century Indian fanlight window frame from Gujarat. Traditionally positioned above doors to allow light and air to circulate, fanlight windows were an important architectural feature in Indian homes, combining practicality with elegant design. This example has been carefully repurposed, retaining its original form while introducing a reflective surface that enhances its sculptural presence.

The semi-circular teak frame is divided by radiating muntins, creating a rhythmic, almost sunburst-like composition. The wood shows a beautifully aged surface with a warm, time-softened patina that speaks to its architectural past. Subtle irregularities and wear add depth and authenticity, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Equally suited to both contemporary and traditional interiors, this mirror works well as a focal point above a console, fireplace, or bed. Its strong architectural character and generous proportions make it a distinctive decorative statement, bringing history, texture, and light into a space.
