This old Chinese bird cage is finely crafted from bamboo and wood, displaying the quiet elegance and skilled workmanship typical of traditional Chinese cage making. The form is both practical and decorative, with slender bamboo bars creating a light, rhythmic structure that allows the interior to remain visually open while maintaining strength.

The cage is enriched with several beautifully detailed elements, including a carved wooden stand at the base, a small carved decorative panel set into the body, and an original porcelain feeding bowl with blue decoration. A sliding entrance hatch provides access to the interior, reflecting the thoughtful functionality of the design.
