    Product Description & Specifications

    Title

Often associated with the  Santal tribe who inhabit both India and Nepal, these very characterful jugs are often called 'monkey pots' and get their name from the handles which are carved to resemble a stylised monkey.

This particular piece has seen much use as is evident in the beautiful patina and areas of wearing. As well as the carved handle, it also has a stylistic zig zag pattern ringing the top and bottom.
