This beautifully carved teak window frame has been thoughtfully transformed into a striking mirror, offering a unique blend of architectural heritage and decorative appeal. This piece reflects the rich tradition of Indian woodcarving, where even functional elements were crafted with remarkable artistry and is originally from a building in Madhya Pradesh.
The frame is adorned with deep floral and geometric swastika carvings - a symbol of prosperity & good fortune, their crisp detailing softened over time to create a warm, tactile surface. The mirror itself is set within an elegant Mughal-style arch, a form synonymous with Indo-Islamic architecture and timeless design. Traces of original pitch remain within the carved recesses, adding depth, contrast, and a sense of authenticity to the piece.
